Why use
acoustical panels?
iSky uses an acoustic panel
as a platform for it's star ceiling in order to treat the
commonly untreated first reflection surface, the ceiling.
iSky treats both sound and light reflection points. Fine
acoustical panels absorb sound in order to control and
enhance acoustic quality in any environment.
What is
an L.E.D.?
A Light Emitting Diode that illuminates by
transforming electrons to photons (electricity to light)
for ultra-long life, thus more cost-effective then a
traditional filament lamp. Lighting has entered into the
digital age. All L.E.D.'s are semi conductor
based.
Why are
beveled edges standard?
The number one customer
complaint is "I can see the seams!", the bevels help in
hiding the fact that ceilings are not completely flat or
perfect. The 45-degree edge on a wrapped fabric panel
allows for easier panel alignment and a designed look.
What
is uRay Lighting?
This lighting
is a low voltage class II 12v DC L.E.D. linear lighting
in 12 inch "tape strip form" for easy application of
edge lighting around iSky Surface and Cloud Mount
panels. Use in other applications such as: racks, coves,
seating, cabinets. Available in RGB (tape), Blue (link
and tape), Amber (link), Warm White (tape), and
CoolWhite (link).
What
Does CoolWhite Mean?
It's called "CoolWhite"
because of the color temperature weights heavily in the
blue/white color range. This works great for bias lighting
around a screen on display.
Can I
dim the uRay?
Yes we have great options
for dimming the uRay lighting. Click here for more info.
Can I
dim the stars?
Because of an internal power
conditioner which keeps the stars at the same intensity the
stars are either on or off.
Do you
make panels in colors other than Midnight Blue?
Midnight Blue is
the standard color. It was chosen because it gives off the
most natural evening sky feel. Black is available at a
slight upcharge. Custom panels with other colors and
fabrics are available. Please note that the lead-time on
special orders will be longer.
Do you
have panels without stars?
Yes we do. If you are
looking to take advantage of all the acoustic benefits of
our panel system either on their own or with the dynamic
uRay lighting you can order your panels without stars, and
have the uRay Light shelf for added depth and drama.
Do you
have triangle or radius
panels?
We sure do,
in the 24", 30" , and 48" standard sizes.
How
much time should I expect an installation to
take?
The size and complexity of each installation varies.
We feel comfortable saying that most installations take
less then a day and some no more than half a day.
Can I
use multiple rows of uRay or multiple colors?
We encourage use
of your imagination and to pair panels and uRay in all new
ways. The sky is the limit.
